Regan N. Kruse is an associate in Sheftall & Torres, P.A.’s Miami, Florida, office. Ms. Kruse received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law, where she graduated cum laude and received a Miami Scholars scholarship. She served as the Executive Editor of the Psychology, Public Policy & Law Journal, and organized the journal’s symposium on prisoner re-entry. Ms. Kruse received academic achievement awards for having received the highest grade in her International Economic Law, Ethics in the Digital Age, Contracts in Latin America (taught in Spanish), and Legal Research and Writing classes.

As a law student, Ms. Kruse participated in federal court internships in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Ms. Kruse interned for both U.S. District Judge Marcia Cooke and U.S. Magistrate Judge Barry Garber. The internships allowed her to gain a real-world perspective on the federal judiciary, as well as a better understanding of the daily operations of the Southern District. Ms. Kruse also gained exposure to litigation through her clerkship at a boutique international litigation firm during law school.

Ms. Kruse has a background in public interest and international volunteer activities. Before law school, she worked as an immigration paralegal in both Miami, Florida, and San Francisco, California. Ms. Kruse volunteered as a Peace Corps trainee in Paraguay, English teacher in Vietnam, legal system observer in Guatemala, and has studied and traveled throughout Latin America and Asia. Ms. Kruse is fluent in Spanish.
